Relay for Life of Sangamon/Menard County

Who We Are

We are a group of volunteers who have come together to join the fight to find an end to cancer. Whether a survivor, caregiver, or recruited by a friend all of our lives have been touched by this disease in one way or another. Our goal is to raise money to fund research and provide services and education to those battling this disease. We would love for you to help join our fight. Join our committee, sign up a team, sign up as survivor, or just come out that night and support us. There can never be to many of us in this fight.

What We Do

Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.

Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal.
